Redwood Scientific Technologies Announces TBX-FREE Completes FDA Registration

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Redwood Scientific Technologies, Inc. (“Redwood”) today announced it has completed the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) registration process for TBX-FREE to be classified as an over-the-counter homeopathic drug under National Drug Code: 69305-001-01. The completion of the registration process is the result of diligent cooperation with FDA counsel in order to obtain compliance for the key ingredient in TBX-FREE.

“Compliance with FDA regulations is an essential prerequisite to Redwood products being vetted and approved for sale on the shelves of national pharmacy retail locations,” said Eunjung Cardiff, Director of Marketing at Redwood. “We expect to announce initial availability of TBX-FREE within the next three months.”

TBX-FREE is a thin film stop smoking aid that features cytisine as its key ingredient. Cytisine has the unique property of making smokers feel the same pleasurable sensations as if they were smoking real cigarettes. It also has the power to make smoking cigarettes feel less pleasurable.

“TBX-FREE will be available for purchase without a prescription in the United States, UK, and European markets, allowing smokers access to a thin film technology stop smoking aid that dissolves in seconds and does not contain any nicotine or have any side effects,” said Jason Cardiff, President and CEO of Redwood.

In order to gain a foothold in the UK market, Redwood will be running an advertisement for TBX-FREE in the Sun newspaper. Due to the high rates of smoking in the UK and Europe, Sun newspaper readers are likely to be very interested in the benefits of TBX-FREE over traditional tobacco based products like cigarettes. A national infomercial campaign will be launched in the United States later this year in order to inform American smokers about the benefits of TBX-FREE.
